Celebrating Wild Turkey Eggs

Submitted by on Thursday, 26 November 2009No Comment

turkeyeggsI woke up wondering what turkey eggs look like, and thinking about how far most of us are from the origins of our food.

It seems impossible that such big birds come from little eggs, but then again, turkeys aren’t as big as ostriches, big birds that are also born from eggs. I don’t think I have ever seen in real life or a picture of a turkey sitting on her nest. I found this picture online, and the bird is so camouflaged, no wonder I haven’t seen the sight in the wild.
