Where’s the Zucchini? – Eco-Win
I work for a company that delivers organic produce throughout the Berkshire region of Massachusetts. Recently, we were asked to be a vendor at the West Stockbridge Zucchini Festival. We spent a beautiful late-summer Saturday selling fruits and veggies, and talking to people about the benefits of eating organic. Our sales were amazing, but it wasn’t until I took a break and walked around that I realized why: amid a sea of zucchini bumper stickers, zucchini hats, zucchini t-shirts, and zucchini ice cream, we were the only vendor actually selling fresh zucchini! Eco-win for us (and our customers)!
