Washing Soda to the Rescue – Eco-Win
I have an outdoor plastic storage unit that’s been sitting outdoors, little used, for several years. It was filthy and full of mildew. Really bad! It even had a wasp’s nest in it. It was so bad I was wondering if it was cleanable.
I tried one of Annie’s formulas: washing soda and water. It worked! I mixed almost a cup of washing soda in hot water and stirred it until it was mostly dissolved. Then I added that to half a bucket full of cold water. Using a hard bristle brush I switched between brushing off the grime and mildew with the mixture and rinsing it with the hose. Two hours later I had an almost new looking storage unit. Thanks Annie! Great idea!
