The Coolest (Purple) Beans Ever

Our (Annie’s and Lily’s) friend Amy Goldman, heirloom gardener extraordinaire and author of The Heirloom Tomato and other wonderful books on heirlooms, sent us a basket of these incredible beans yesterday. Purple beans! Purple beans that are green inside! Eating them is a wonder! Looking at them feels like looking at a miracle. Presumably these beans were commonplace in another place and time? We love heirlooms! Eco-Win.
