Teenagers are Changing the World
Moutaz Huneidi and Omar Khresat, two teenagers from Jordan, have devised a way to use waste to create clean energy. Diesel is burned and conducted through aluminum to create hydrogen, which can be used to generate electricity. This goal took them to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Reno, Nevada where they placed fourth. The boys hope to see their project applied to industrial factories in Amman to see how effective their project could be. This project would change the way that Jordanians look at waste and renewable energy, and with increased funding from the private sector other young innovators would also be able to pursue their dreams.
