Summer Green Chi Smoothie

green smoothieLow on the glycemic index and a low-acidic-highly-alkaline wonder, this smoothie comes from brilliant Dr. Frank Lipman in his book Spent. This smoothie will become a family favorite.

1 cup almond milk (buy unsweetened; alkaline)
1 capful of vanilla
A squirt of agave syrup (low on the glycemic index)
1 cup frozen cherries (alkaline and low on the glycemic index)
Juice of 1/2 lime (alkalizing)
2 teaspoons of powdered greens (alkaline, low on the glycemic index)
3 tablespoons whey powder (or hemp powder –very alkaline–for those sensitive to whey)
Half an avocado (alkalizing)

Add the liquid to a blender, then add the solid ingredients. Blend.
