Stumptown Coffee: Practicing What They Preach

Submitted by on Wednesday, 16 September 2009No Comment

varietal-example-700x240Stumptown Coffee Roasters has garnered quite a following since they opened their doors in 1999. Based in Portland, Oregon, Stumptown has made a name for itself by revolutionizing the world of coffee, not only with their unique products, but with their business practices and standards of quality. With four cafes and two auxiliary facilities in Portland, they’ve finally made their way to the east coast, and opened a location in New York City over Labor Day weekend.

Stumptown’s eight different lines of products include coffee from Latin America, Africa, and Indonesia, as well as Blends, Decaf, Grand Cru, Direct Trade and Organic. Their organic line is expansive, and is grown without the use of man-made fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides of any kind.
