De-Skunking Your Pet Eco-Win

2_mugs38The best solution for de-skunking that I have found is actually the simplest. Take a quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (available in pharmacies) and 1/4 C baking soda plus a tsp of liquid dishwashing soap. Coat your pet thoroughly using rubber gloves. Leave on for 5 minutes and rinse. Once completely rinsed you might like to wash your pet with their regular shampoo. Works like a charm. If the pet has rubbed skunk on the furniture or carpets, coat with baking soda and vacuum. Eco-Win!

    Sounds miraculous!!! I have a question: Would this work on a carpet to de-oderize a cat urine “accident”? If an answer doesn’t appear, I’m going to try it and will let you know the result! Jane C.
