After a stressful, kind of terrible freshman year, I wanted to do everything I could to create a space that emanated peace, well-being, and compassion. So, sophomore year, I hung prayer flags over the entrance to my dorm room. Though I changed a lot of other things to make my second year better than my first, every time I saw the prayer flags, I was reminded of the things that really matter to me, and was able to find peace and compassion in my heart and in my life. I’ve been seeing prayer flags all over the place recently, and it’s a lovely reminder of a sense of good-heartedness. Try putting some prayer flags over your entry-way: but make sure to hang them with compassion in your heart!
