So many people who live in my area are Tweeting and Facebooking about ladybug swarms that have descended on us, the event seems to be as popular as writing about Sara Palin. How odd that so many of us report having them swarming our front doors in specific?

Some quick searches on Google about the swarms indicates that the bugs are actually Asian Lady Beetles, and that despite the fact that they are considered good luck in many cultures, people are vacuuming them up and spraying them with pesticides. Eco-Fail!

Why not leave them alone (are they really bothering anything with their harmless presence?) and love having them for bringing lots and lots and lots of good luck? With the number of these creatures at my front door I should expect good luck for decades ahead! Eco-Win.
