Fuming About Pesticide Aisles — Eco-Fail
I went to Home Depot to buy a garbage can. I chose Home Depot instead of Lowe’s, which is closer, because of all the aisles of pesticides. I wanted to avoid the smell. Mistake. Home Depot is just as bad if not worse. I had to wade through aisles of pesticides to get to the garbage cans. I still have a headache from the smells. And stores want us to return? Total U.S. conventional and nonagricultural use of pesticides rose to 5.0 billion pounds a year in 2001, the last time the Environmental Protection Agency counted. Eco-Fail.
