DIY Creme Car Polish with Clove – Petroleum Free

Submitted by on Friday, 16 July 2010No Comment

It is easy to polish your car without petroleum-based products (and especially the scented petroleum-based waxes).

The clove in this formula is used as a preservative. With this addition the formula can last for 6 months.

1 ounce beeswax
1 cup walnut oil
1/2 cup glycerin
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons rottenstone
2 to 3 drops clove
Vitamin E capsule (200 i.u.)

Combine the beeswax and walnut oil in a double boiler until the beeswax has melted. Once melted, remove from the heat and add the glycerin and water. Beat until the mix is creamy, then add the rest of the ingredients, stirring to blend.

Apply with a soft cloth, then buff to a high shine with a chamois cloth.
